Home
November 29, 2008. Home again, home again, jigity-jig.
After a wonderful trip filled with family and food, we’re back home. The air smells like home. The noises sound like home. The very air welcomes us into its warm embrace.
Sometimes we just need to come home. Experimenting with new forms and ideas is wonderful. Stepping out of our comfort zone is great. Finding things to do that scare us can really stretch our capabilities.
And then sometimes, we just need to step back into what we do well. It’s a denim quilt backed with flannel. It’s a bed that is formed to your body while still offering the proper support. It’s the conversations with friends and family that transcend spoken language.
I love to act. With all of the talk of marketing and going outside my comfort zone, I sometimes forget why I’m doing all of that. I’m doing it so that I get to act more.
So, perhaps it’s time to add acting back into my routine. If you find yourself in the same situation, maybe you can do the same.
But for now…I hear my bed calling to me.
Ahhhhhh. My bed.
It’s good to be home.

Home is awesome. As is remembering our passion.
