Faith

March 29, 2009.  I have been going on faith for the past year and two months.  It’s been one heck of a wild ride.

Things have not turned out even close to the way that I thought they would, which I’m sure is ultimately for the best.  If we had been wildly successful right from the get-go, I’m fairly confident that I would be pretty miserable right now.  Mostly because it would’ve been success that didn’t feel earned.  It would’ve been handed to us on a silver platter.

I’ve seen what that silver platter meal can do to an emotional waistline.

I don’t know what’s going to happen next.  We have a lot of really wonderful projects in the works right now in front of people who are excited about them.  They all have a real possibility of moving forward.  If even one of them does, it could mean the beginning of quite a lot of success, both professionally and financially.

I said that I don’t know what’s going to happen next, but that’s not completely true.  I know that what’s going to happen next will be the perfect thing to help us progress to the next place in our development.  Not necessarily our professional or financial development, because those things are transitory.  It will be for our development as human beings.  Human beings with a spark of divine potential.

That’s my faith, as best as I can put words to it.

I’m kind of excited to see what comes next!
