Does Everything Mean Something?
May 24, 2009. I take things seriously. Too seriously, most of the time. Random occurences take on ultra significant meaning.
Thing is, sometimes things do mean something. Sometimes they are significant. Maybe not ultra significant, but significant nonetheless.
Whenever I do something ridiculous, something out of character, it usually does mean something.
Have you noticed how many times I’ve said the word “something”?
Anyway, the whole process of seeking to become conscious is a bit tricky. Or at least it seems that way. As we start looking closely at our own unconscious behavior, the part of us that desperately want to remain unconscious kicks up a big ol’ fight.
And it doesn’t end after the first time. Every time we come up against something uncomfortable, that part of us kicks up another fight. And another. And another.
But every time it gets a little bit easier to face. Every time we’re more conscious when we come face to face with our deepest fears. Every time it’s more and more uncomfortable to stay unconscious.
So, even though it’s a tough thing, the alternative is actually more difficult.
And, yes, everything does mean something. And, it’s no big deal.
It’s all just interesting information for the next time we have to face our fears.
And that is a beautiful thing!

Just wondering if there was something specific that sparked this blog? Whatever it was, you seem to be handling with your normal aplomb
