Hi, Again…
July 28, 2009. So, it’s been a few days, yeah? As things heated up with our preparations for Comic-Con and I was still putting in more than full days at the theatre summer camp followed by another half day editing, I was coming home wiped.
I just didn’t have it in me to write about what was going on.
Which was probably because I was scared. Sure, the tired was real. The busy was real. And I probably could’ve written a couple of lines about how i was doing. It wouldn’t have taken too much.
Because, even though things didn’t go exactly how I would’ve wanted down in San Diego, there were so many wonderful things that I could’ve shared. The joy of seeing our trailers come to life. The thrill of working fast with a partner, where you are feeding off of each other’s ideas, pushing each other to excel as well as to reach a deadline. It was awesome!
There was dissapointment as well. We didn’t win. But we knew we probably wouldn’t. Our film was entered in a fan film competition. Usually, if you want to win one of those, it’s a good idea to enter…I don’t know…a FAN FILM. Ours clearly wasn’t. I’m not sure exactly how it made it in to begin with.
But, we got our materials in to the hands of some industry professionals at a venue that was a complete experience. Also, my oldest son got to go…and loved it! So many great moments that I am so happy that I’ve had.
And now, we’ve got a lot of stuff that we can put into anyone’s hands when they ask us what we’ve got. That’s a pretty good place to be.
So, sorry for the disconnect. I’ll make sure that I do better next time.
Because that next time is coming. And it feels like it might be pretty soon…

So glad you are back! We missed you but glad to hear you’ve had an interesting time!
Can’t wait to hear more!
